Celebrate the Berlin day at the end of the week of  the European Cultural Heritage Summit 
The historic square of Gendarmenmarkt, right in the centre of Berlin, will shine in a European light on 24 June.  

On the occasion of the finish of the Summit-week, we invite you to turn the Gendarmenmarkt into a colourful information market on the subject of cultural heritage. It is hard to illustrate the variety of our cultural heritage, however, it can lovely be discussed. Your views are requested here – as an image, a photograph oder a list of wishes.

Perform a dance together with the Pina Bausch Foundation, experience ancient handcraft techniques or future virtual worlds, answer to quiz games relating to our European cultural heritage.

At the join-in market „Cultural Heritage Fair“, you can discuss with experts European issues or demonstrate your children how cultural heritage can be preserved. On Gendarmenmarkt from 11 am to 5 pm.

The highlight of the join-in activities:

You always wanted to dance together with the world famous Pina Bausch Foundation, wouldn’t you? On 24th June you can rehearse the choreography of the „Nelken-Line“ accompanied by a professional dancer in order to join the dance performance afterwards on Gendarmenmarkt. At 2 pm the public dancing lesson starts, from 3 pm on the join-in performance will be documented in a video.

The musical highlight:

The Sunday brunch accompanied by a live concert is important for the European culture. That is why the join-in market „Cultural Heritage Fair“ will be completed with a small but nice stage programme. At 0.30 pm and 3.15 pm, the renown Swedish conductor Mats Holmquist will present jazz pearls by Chick Chorea and Herbie Hancock in his own adaption. You hear the BerlinerJugendJazzOrchester – of course, free of charge and open air!

The Cultural Heritage Fair is a public event. No registration is necessary.
